Fish. Learn. Improve. Share. Repeat.
My name is Haley, Hale for short, and I am a proud New Hampshire native with a love of all things outdoors - especially fly fishing, swimbait fishing, waterfowl hunting, upland hunting, photography and videography.
I'm a UNH chemical engineering alumni and since then I have spent a decade as an engineer at some of the largest companies and coolest plants from New England to Texas. I am still a full time engineer currently building antennas that go into fighter jets but in my spare time, I love to apply my engineering skills (mostly design of experiments and data analysis) to improve my hunting and fishing techniques. I also love to document these lessons and share them, along with some of my favorite outdoor moments, on my YouTube channel. Stop by and say "Hi!"
A week of fly fishing in the mountains - Part 1 of 4
Things went a little better this year, thanks to a hungry New Hampshire landlocked Atlantic Salmon.
Come along with me as I fly fish winter wonderlands where the scenes are breath-taking and the trout are... hiding?
What is the best 6 wt fly rod? Cheapest? Best value?!
Did a $35 fly rod just beat Hardy? Whaaaat?
What's better than perfectly delivering a Hendrickson emerger and watching a rainbow sip it off the surface?
Join me in the pristine Catskills wilderness where the trout are big, wild, and - luckily for us - very hungry.
